News : President of Uzbekistan approves Law "On veterinary medicine" in new edition.

29 December 2015, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the Law "On introducing amendments and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On veterinary".
This law was adopted by Legislative chamber on 5 October and approved by the Senate on 4 December 2015.
This legal act has firmly established the priority directions of the state policy in the sphere of further development of the veterinary service in the country.
The law defined the powers of the Cabinet of Ministers, state authorities, including the Chief state department of veterinary under the Ministry of agriculture and water resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the efficiency of the state veterinary service, preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic measures, veterinary inspection and other activities aimed at preventing animal diseases, prevention of penetration on the territory of the Republic of infectious animal diseases from other countries.
In addition, the document provides for legal mechanisms of participation of local authorities, non-governmental organizations and citizens in carrying out veterinary activities, assisting and providing aid to state and other authorities in solving existing problems.
The adoption of this law will contribute to further development of veterinary services, improving the efficiency of state veterinary supervision, as well environmental protection with regard to modern requirements and standards.
