News : The draft law "On veterinary medicine" being prepared for the second reading .

The prospects of improvement of legislation in the field of veterinary medicine in Uzbekistan were discussed in Tashkent, in the course of a round table organized by the Committee on Agriculture and Water Management of the lower house of Parliament. The meeting was focused on the preparation of the draft law "On veterinary" (in a new edition) and its further improvement for the second reading.
As was noted at the event, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On veterinary medicine" was adopted in the early years of independence. Its purpose is to protect animals and the treatment of infectious diseases, meeting the needs of the population in the quality of animal products, the protection of the population against common animal and human diseases, protection of the territory of the republic from penetration of infections from other states, as well as the prevention of animal health environmental issues.
The meeting reviewed distinctive aspects and rules of the new edition of the Law "On Veterinary Medicine", adopted by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in the first reading and prepared for the second reading. At that, the importance of further improvement of the new draft law, its use as "labor law" was emphasized.
